Dear Bumper Draw Results
Bumper lotteries are the occasional high-value draws that run alongside the daily 1 PM, 6 PM and 8 PM results. They are held once on an announced date rather than every day, the tickets cost considerably more, and the top prize runs into crores rather than the ₹1 crore of a daily draw.

How bumper draws differ from the daily draws

The regular bumper series
The organising states run bumpers around festivals and seasons. Names and dates are announced in advance by the directorate, and tickets go on sale well ahead of the draw.
- Dear New Year Bumper, drawn in the first days of January.
- Dear Summer Bumper, drawn around May and June.
- Dear Rakhi Bumper, tied to Raksha Bandhan.
- Dear Durga Puja Bumper and Dear Puja Special Bumper, during the Puja season.
- Dear Diwali and Kali Puja Bumper, the largest of the year by ticket sales.
- Punjab State Dear Bumper, run by Punjab rather than Nagaland or Sikkim, and followed closely across north India.
Checking a bumper ticket
The matching rules are the same as for a daily draw. The first prize is matched on the complete number including the series letters, and the lower tiers are matched on trailing digits only, so any series carrying those digits wins.
Two things differ. Bumper tickets carry their own numbering, so a bumper number will never appear in a daily winner list, and the claim window is counted from the bumper draw date rather than from the day you bought the ticket.
Claiming a bumper prize
Because bumper prizes are large, essentially every winning claim goes through the state's formal process rather than being paid at the counter. You will need the original signed ticket, a completed claim form, photo identification, PAN and address proof, submitted to the Director of the organising state lottery within the stated window. Tax is deducted at source before payment.

Bumper season attracts fraud. The larger the advertised prize, the more calls and messages circulate claiming you have won and asking for a fee, tax or clearance payment first. A genuine prize never requires an advance payment. If it happens to you, report it and tell your local police cyber cell.
